Are you a MSAVA Member?

If you are MSAVA Ordinary Member, the delivery of the Pet Passport to you will be FOC, provided you do not have arrears in your membership fees.

After you have filled the Google form, we will check your membership status and an invoice will be email to you. Make the payment and email your proof of payment to cpdmsava@gmail.com

Delivery

After we have received your payment, we’ll then courier the Pet Passport to you. That’s it!

What is Pet Passport (Pet Identification Card)?

Pet Passport is an official document of the Malaysian Government under the Malaysian Animal Traceability System (MATS) Project. This Passport is organised by the Department of Veterinary Services Malaysia (DVS) under the provisions of the Animal Act 1953. The pilot project was launched in February 2010 at the Veterinary Hospital, Department of Veterinary Services in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. A total of 42 owners with 63 animals (47 cats and 16 dogs) were registered during the pilot project.

Objective:

  1. To help in disease control
  2. To improve the animal traceability system
  3. To promote Pet ownership responsibility and
  4. To promote awareness of animal welfare

Purpose:

  1. To provide the formal animal identification system
  2. Build the database system to improve the effectiveness of animal disease control
  3. To promote pet ownership responsibility

Advantages of registering your pet:

  1. Easy to trace your animal (lost, etc)
  2. Can prove the pet owner
  3. To group all required and vital information about your pet in one place

Animal to register:

  1. Cat
  2. Dog
  3. Rabbit / Other Animals
  4. Horse

Malaysian Animal Registrar:

  1. All Veterinary Officers in the Department of Veterinary Services Malaysia
  2. Accredited Veterinary Registrars by the Department of Veterinary Services Malaysia

How to apply:

This Animal Identification Card can be applied at:

  1. Department of Veterinary Services (All DVS state offices)
  2. Accredited Malaysia Animal Registrars at Veterinary Clinics.
