REGISTRATION FEES

Note:

  1. Single day registration is NOT available.
  2. All MSAVA MEMBERS must pay up their subscription arears before 31st May 2019 to qualify the member rate. Only a MSAVA member shall qualify for the member rate, not for other associations.
  3. Conference and Annual dinner have limited seats, register early for conference and dinner.
  4. Cancellations MUST be made in writing and will be subjected to a RM100 administration fee before refunds are made.
  5. Cancellation made after 1st June 2019 will NOT be refunded.
  6. Change in participant name can be made in writing and will be subjected to a RM100 administration fee.
  7. E-Certificate will be provided for all the events (AGM, Conference, Pre-conference events on 21st June).
  8. If any participant wished to have a hardcopy of the certificate (printed), a RM20 will be charged for the printing and postage.
  9. Payable in cash on the day of the event, upon registration

Dr. Stewart Ryan BVSc (Hons), MS, Diplomate ACVS

Senior Lecturer Small Animal Surgery University of Melbourne

A graduate of the Melbourne Veterinary School (1989), Stewart is the Head of the Small Animal Surgery Service in the Faculty of Veterinary and Agricultural Sciences at the University of Melbourne. After several years in mixed dairy cattle and small animal practice in Victoria, he moved to Hong Kong and worked there for the next 10 years. He then moved to Fort Collins, CO, USA and completed an advanced Residency training program in Small Animal Surgery and a Fellowship in Surgical Oncology at the Colorado State University (CSU). Stewart became a Diplomate of The American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS) in 2007 and was an Assistant Professor Faculty member at CSU. He returned to Melbourne in late 2011 and joined the University of Melbourne in October 2012. He is a registered specialist in small animal surgery and the author of many peer-reviewed scientific publications and several book chapters. Stewart’s research is focused on surgical oncology, musculoskeletal oncology and limb salvage, the interaction of radiation and bone and translational research for medical devices. He also has clinical interests in minimally invasive surgery, interventional radiology and surgical oncology. He is head of the small animal surgery service at the Veterinary teaching hospital in Werribee.

CALL FOR ABSTRACT

Share your clinical case reports and research findings

Small animal veterinary practitioners and veterinary students are invited to share your clinical case reports and research findings at this year’s MSAVA National Scientific Conference 2019. Selected abstracts are only for oral presentations. Please follow the abstract submission guidelines carefully.

  1. Abstract should be confined to 400 words.
  2. Titles must be in UPPERCASE. The rest in sentence case.
  3. Please write the full names of ALL authors and their affiliation address and include only email of the corresponding author.
  4. Up to 2 images/figures is allowed.
  5. Authors are responsible for all expenses incurred in the production of their presentations, travel and accommodation during the conference.
  6. Each author can only submit one abstract to present.
  7. Abstracts must be submitted in ENGLISH.
  8. The Scientific Program Committee reserves the right to edit, reject or request for corrections from the author(s).

Oral presentations are for 12 minutes followed by 3 minutes for Q&A.

All abstract submitters are required to register for the full congress at the time of abstract submission (at SPEAKER RATE).

Submissions of abstract will be considered up to 15th April 2019 and should be in Word Document format (font size 10, font type Arial, justified).

Please submit your abstract to cpdmsava@gmail.com with the EMAIL subject heading: ABSTRACT FOR NSC2019.

You will receive an acknowledgement within 48 hours of successfully submitting your abstract. Please contact the Secretariat at the same email if you have further enquiries.

A confirmation of abstract acceptance will be sent by the Scientific Committee, where the time and date for the selected oral presentations will be made known end of May this year.
